Richmond pt.1

I spent this past weekend in Richmond, Virginia taking care of some serious wedding business. And when I say wedding business I mean picking up my dress from the one and only very talented Stepha O'Brien who hand crafted it! I have a Bespoken by Stepha O'Brien original!!! Well while I was there, I stayed with my friend Kaytee Lauren. Her and her husband were so kind to host me for the weekend. Saturday we had a meeting/fitting with Stepha then we hit the town with my dad and step-mom who drove out to Richmond from Roanoke to visit me!

Kaytee showed us some treasures of Richmond! We at lunch at Bottoms Up Pizza and went shopping in Carytown– we chowed down on a Nutella Cupcake from Carytown Cupcake and watched the sunset from Libby Hill, overlooking Richmond and all of it's glory! I may have fallen for Richmond and I would love to go back (numerous times...!) *cough-cough* don't tell cody!

And a special thanks to Kaytee for being so kind! I can't imagine such a wonderful Richmond trip without a great friend + tour guide!

That is so exciting that you picked up your gown! I can't wait to see what it looks like :) I bet it is beautiful. I looked at Stepha's website and she is really very talanted. I would have never thought about getting it custom made. I looked at SO many dresses in stores and didn't see any I liked, so I took a chance and bought a used one online (Preownedweddingdresses.com). I lucked out. My dress fits perfectly. I love it and am so glad I took the risk :)

Oooo... that yarn looks deliciously fun to work with. Are you a knitter? I just found your blog today, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it!
