The mystery of a woman's purse...

After going to the store yesterday and frustratingly rummaging through my purse for my wallet, I decided it was time to clean it out. The irritation of not being able to find my wallet in my little purse really made me huff and puff while in the check out line. It was that moment when I slammed my purse onto the check out stand and started pulling stuff out. You know what I am talking about huh? ha. Well when I got home, this is what I found.
I don't know how all of that stuff fit it what I thought was a little purse. It is cleaned out now, lets see how long it takes to fill up again!

graphic therapy.

I was just playing around with some graphics & made this new cover photo for facebook. I was so tired of seeing the busy-ness of the new cover photo looks that meshed with my page and photos.
I'd say this was a good solution. Too bad photos on facebook don't look as good as they are supposed to. boo!

go here to support us. we really do appreciate it! :)

Gorgeous family // Sneak Peek

I just wanted to share this quick sneak peek of my shoot from this past weekend! Jhen Stark from, From Here to Eternity Blog, contacted me a few months ago regarding my photography services. After a few months of emailing back and forth we set a date and made it happen. These awesome people are photographers as well and I was so flattered that they chose me for the job of capturing their family moments.

Meeting this little family was so lovely. They have such a sweet little girl, with such sass and personality. Not to mention that she wanted to help me carry my bag, and wanted me to carry her! ha. I loved every minute of it. I can't wait to share more about this shoot.

I hope you haven't stopped praying...

Do you guys remember this past november i shared with you that the Senior Pastor and my work & church began his battle with Leukemia? Well, I have updated a few times along the way and I wanted to share another with you.

Two weekends ago, he was able to get up on stage and speak with us about this journey God has him on right now. It was so truly inspiring! Behind the tears were just eyes that couldn't help but stare at the incredibly strong man on stage. Behind the change in his appearance was the same incredible man that left to the hospital four months ago– the one with a new story to tell and a new mission given by God.

I encourage you to watch this video. oh it is so amazing to hear him speak again. refreshing! It wont take long. I think you will like it :)

something so incredibly awesome!

Okay friends, I have a huge favor to ask of you. I know many of you are readers. Obviously, or you probably wouldn't be reading this if you had no desire to read. ha. Well, some of my great friends have something so exciting going on and I would love to share it with you and give you an opportunity to participate.

My friends, The Sousa's (Sean & Shelley), are launching something so incredibly awesome. For the past six years, Sean has been writing a book called FLASH– It is his first novel of a series called "The Forever Series". It's a science fiction story involving a father and son, who seek to reconcile as they lead others against a hidden enemy in a final war. Here's the series tag-line:

An ancient enemy rises,
A lost hero finds his way, and his son brings hope to a world on the verge of rebirth.

The Forever Saga is the beginning of his writing career, and after years of writing and editing on his own, they are so proud to premiere it to everyone - and they are offering you an early copy for helping them launch Flash! How? Through pledging for their project at Kickstarter, a "crowdfunding" website where you can receive Sean's novel and other rewards in exchange for helping them out. It's a lot like buying Girl Scout cookies: you're basically buying a product (Sean's book) at a premium price, but your money also supports something greater (allowing them to give Sean's novel a professional launch).

They are aiming to raise $3,500 in 30 days, and anyone who pledges will get a signed, early copy of Flash in ebook or paperback format, along with other rewards (your name on the acknowledgements page of the novel, a thank-you video, your name used for a minor character, and so on). The more you pledge, the more rewards you get! Kickstarter uses an all-or-nothing system: if they reach/surpass their goal of $3,500 in 30 days, they receive the pledged money and all of it will go toward the official launch of The Forever Saga; if they don't reach their goal, you keep all your pledged money and they receive nothing.

NOTE FROM SEAN SOUSA: "Writing this book has been my career, my heart, and my passion for the past six years, and I'm excited to finally share it with all of you! It won't be easy to reach this goal - but any and all help you can give, I will be personally grateful for."

Please go to HERE, watch the video, and pledge! If you want to know more about the novel, Kickstarter, and so on, just ask!

You can also see The Forever Saga's Facebook page for a look at the journey so far HERE
The first chapter of Flash is available to read if you're curious HERE

For the record, I read the first chapter and I am so excited to read the rest! I am trying to get my hands on the copy early ;) that way I can share how awesome it is and make you want to get it so you can read it yourself!!

Also, here is an awesome rough sketch done for the cover of Sean's book. Done by Stanley Lau himself!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet little niece

Oh goodness! I cannot believe my niece is TWO today! Seriously... God, where does time go? I remember when my sister was pregnant with my nephew nearly four years ago! & then again with my niece two years ago. I remember so vividly because I made a trip to Virginia that year in hopes that my sister would go into labor while I was there. she didn't.

I think of the personality that my niece Caidence has, and I am blown away. Although she only sees us on occasion, since we live so far away, she knows who we are, calls us by name, knows our special and unique jokes and games that we each have with her. I love when my sister calls so early because little Caidence wants to hear my grandpa sing! and how the second he is done you hear "again papa!!" agh. nieces, love them so much! She is so gorgeous! Honestly, I am already feeling bad for the boy's hearts she will break on day. With those eyes, she will have them at a look.

Happy Birthday Sweet girl. I love you.

p.s. oh goodness those are such old pictures. well kind of. i guess it is just weird for me to look at how my pictures used to look and what they are now.

Scotti turns 1!

A few weeks ago, a couple of my friends celebrated their daughters first birthday! Seriously, idk where this year went. It feels like just yesterday that they introduced everyone to a precious little girl. I had the divine honor of shooting her little party. They did such an awesome job with the decorations and hosting the guests. It made me excited to have a kid for the sole purpose of throwing them awesome parties! I am excited for other reasons as well– no worries!
Here a few of my favorites :)

I bought a new bed frame this weekend and so naturally, all I can think about is how it is going to look. what comforter do i want? a few pillows or a lot of pillows? simple and clean or fun and quirky? I am even thinking about a new little bed for molly. hence, #4! You better believe that, that is my next project after I am done with my little coffee table.

Oh yeah, my grandpa and I like to work on projects. Our current one it a homemade coffee table. We are just in planning mode right now, but I will be sure to update you once it happens :)

happy monday!
