I have been a little mia this week. A lot has been going on with school, work, and family.
I hope all had a wonderful Thanks Giving; filled with joy, laughter, family, and good times! OH yeah, food too!
This year was the first year that Cody came with me to see my family. We usually do our own thing and then I go see him at night. I have to say, he stuck out like a sore thumb with my family. haha. As you can see in picture number three, my family is full of full blood mexican-indians– then we have green eyed white boy cody. haha. I love him. It might have been the full-on Mexican music blasting the whole night. I am surprised my grandpa didn't drag me away to dance with him!
As I am sure most people say the same, I truly believe that we should be thankful for our lives, and the people in them, everyday. Thanks Giving is a celebration of the lives of our great-great-great-great and beyond grandparents who settled here and started the journey of America. Where would we be if that never happened? Only God knows.
And of course, being thankful, grateful, and appreciative of God and the lives he has given us is most important. The people he has placed in our lives have done something to our own person in some way or another. It is so awesome to realize how someone has affected us. So today I pray for the lives that surround me. Life is precious and people make impacts that will change us forever. God has a plan and I am so excited to see what that is.
Happy (day after) Thanks Giving. I hope your Black Fridays are full of deals and safety!
– cody and I were practically trampled last night trying to get great deals. sheesh.
