new new camera :)

My camera finally came in on tuesday & I never want to put it down. It is the Canon T1i.
I am really not one to take pictures of myself...but hey, I wanted a new picture with my new camera and no one was around but me.
plus, I don't think I have posted one of me.

So I went crazy on Thanksgiving, I will post some soon. Right now, I need to get ready & do some christmas shopping!

apologies.

bad blogger alert.
Sorry! I just realized it has been over a week since I blogged last.
It has been one of "those" weeks. You know, the ones where everything decides it needs to happen that week instead of spreading it self out a little.
Literally this is what my week has looked like and what it continues to look like until next week:

  • Last friday: Cody and I hung out with some friends.
  • Saturday: Slept in, planned on getting some homework done, but ended up staying in bed watching s Harry Potter marathon. {procrastination: 100% my fault. ugh}
  • Sunday: church in the morning, followed by leader huddles, followed by more church at night.
  • Monday: Kind of didn't go to school because 1. I had a lot of things to do & 2. I had to catch up on ALOT of hw.
  • Tuesday: Work pretty much all day, plus finish my homework. Followed by "Beautified"--church event for women :)
  • Wednesday: Early morning rise for school, but caught in traffic for 2 hours! Followed by picking up some tickets I won a couple weeks ago, in Burbank. Followed by a parking tick. sigh. Followed by some more work.
  • Thursday: Work and taking a break from homework so I could hang out w/ Code.
  • Today(friday):  Early rise for school again, Followed by catching up on work, followed by Operation Christmas Child--church event, followed by more homework. And hopefully some sleep.
  • Tomorrow: 8:30 leave for winter retreat planning, followed by a Bridal Shower, followed by ALOT of homework and studying.
  • Sunday: BREAK and going to the AMA's :) woohoo.
  • Monday: School and a Test.

Hopefully after monday it will be smooth sailing...hopefully.
why does everything bunch up into one week!? ugh.

Not getting myself down though. I guess it is better than being bored, right??

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Do you remember that cute little teddy bear I got 4 months ago???
well she isn't exactly a "little" teddy bear anymore. She is still my teddy bear! But she is a big one.
A note from her:

hello everyone,
my momma never really gives me computer privileges. i have a tendency to chew on all sorts of electronics. so my momma started buying me bones, but i am pretty tired of them.
sometimes i get scared when she puts me outside because i got in trouble for doing something i wasn't supposed to do. i don't know what she is talking about though!
i mean all she does is say, "molly! you keep getting me in trouble! why don't you learn!?" but she never actually says what i do...so i dont know what to stop doing.
ugh. humans...they dont get it.
on the bright side, my momma brought home a big crate for me to sleep in at night. i didnt like the garage. it was cold and lonely and scary at night.
great grandma still trys to put me outside but momma just brings me back in. i think i get her in trouble sometimes alot.
momma always says that she cant wait to have her own space so i can run all over. we will see when that happens though. for now, i like the big backyard and front yard that i get to take over.
but let me tell you other dogs...i may be little...but i will bark at you anyway if you walk near my house. i dont care if my momma yells at me stop...my house..my momma.
good day fellow humans and puppies.

love, malls

Girls Night--sneak peak :)

Okay, so for those of you who don't know...I intern for student ministries at my church and last night we had an awesome event! The girls of STATUS, which is the name of student ministries, came together and made tie-blankets! You know, the ones you cut slits on the edges and time them together? Well, those. We made a total of 89 blankets in one night {it was a "sleep-over"}!
Who did we make these blankets for? Well, let me tell you...these really warm blankets are for the homeless! I am aware that this event literally just ended like 3 hours ago, but I was so excited that I came home and started looking at some pictures.
SNEAK PEAK!
{more to come later this week}
The holidays are coming and so is winter! So, we figured this would be the perfect way to give and share God's love! :) On Thanksgiving, our church is volunteering to pass out meals to homeless {approx. 130} so we wanted to pass out one blanket with every meal!
Isn't that so cool!? Unfortunately we are only 41 blankets short of our goal! BUT we are still accepting donations!

If you feel giving an want to donate a blanket {finished or just the materials} contact me! We and those receiving the blankets would certainly appreciate it!
The materials are 2 pieces of fleece {each piece is 2 yards by 2 yards} and that comes out to approximately $20 :)

email me if you are interested in donating.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

love jewelry.

I just had to say how much I love this necklace!
children's initials, your initials, love initials :) you can go on forever.
Go see what else they have :)

Realistic Body Painting

I know I don't state it much on here, & I sure don't show any of my work (i don't have much time to..) but I love painting & drawing! So when I stumbled across this,
I pretty much had a heart attack!
these may all look like a normal 2-dimensional acrylic painting...But they aren't! Artist Alexa Meade paints 3-dimensional objects to create a 2-dimensional portrait, or in this case I suppose it would technically be a photograph! Isn't that so cool!? I am pretty inspired right now! I actually want to try using her technique.
I will definitely show you when I come around and actually try it!
{photos via my modern met}

home inspiration: such a cute house!

Is this not the cutest house ever!?
I don't know where it is (obviously somewhere in America--there is hope for me! lol) but I found it here along with some before & after shots of its interior remodeling :)
go take a peek...its pretty cool.

the best thing on my mind right now :)

{picture via here}
I feel overwhelmed with love right now. From who? God of course.
I realized something this morning; I am a lucky person & I really have everything I might need. I can breathe, I can walk, I have the opportunity to get an education, I am loved, I can go on forever. I felt bad after realizing that. I felt bad that I constantly wish I had more, that my circumstances were different, that I could be as lucky as the person next to me! I want to change that.
Of course, being human, I am going to slip up, we all do it! BUT it is no excuse for me not to keep trying. I mean, being loved by God is all I can really ask for, & I don't even have to ask! He loves me no matter what I do! So, in return, I am living my life for him.

Cody always tells me, "we choose to be happy,"--today...its a happy day!
I hope yours is just as happy :)
