to my wonderful boyfriend! he turns 21 today!

it is only so crazy for me to think of, because i remember when we met! i was 15 & he was 17. now...i am 19 & he is 21. time flies!

Today I learned a valuable lesson.

Today, I bought molly several new things, a new collar, new toys, a new brush, a new pair of hair trimmer scissors, anddd a new bone.

im not sure if it is dog instinct or something, but the second i took the bone out, none of her new things mattered anymore but that!

now, when i get near her, she thinks i might take it away and runs with it. So my lesson learned for today: puppies (at least my puppy) will never let a bone go if you give her one. i am going to have to think carefully the next time i buy her one. i think if she is good. she deserves it :)

Creamy SPICY Chicken Tortilla Soup.

oh man, i have been craving chicken tortilla soup, so i made it.
im not quite sure how i did it, but it was so good!

in fact, i think i might play around with some ingredients to get the perfect recipe. so when i do...you can be sure i will share it :)

in the mean time, i hope have all been having a lovely weekend!

happy first day of fall!

this is my favorite season!

last year cody & i went to pick out our perfect pumpkins! i can't wait to pick a new favorite. hopefully this year the weather will be normal and act like fall weather!? i want to wear a scarf and some boots & not sweat my butt off! i know it is southern california & its supposed to be "hot all the time" but no...can it please get a tad bit cooler?

its fall!

happy first day of fall!

molly.

this is molly. 

she:

attacks my face every morning when she has to go out.

steals every shoe and/or sock she sees.

nibbles on toes.

walks on my laptop.

sits at my feet during dinner.

chases people passing by the house (she thinks she is a big dog).

chewed my mac charger cord to it's death (i don't want to talk about it).

lays in the middle of the kitchen.

sleeps behind the toilet.

follows me everywhere.

prefers to eat my cats food instead of her own.

never fails to have something in her mouth that we have to pry out.
trips over her own paws.

and is the absolute cutest puppy ever.

i love my pups!

even when i am a big ol' grump...

he tells me he loves me.

he puts up with my problems & sometimes ridiculous emotional issues!

after i apologize {every time even though i know it will happen again} his words to me are:
"i love you so its just how it is sometimes!"

so when he asks me "how did i get so lucky?" i know he is very wrong...because i know i am the lucky one, & i should be asking him how i got so lucky; to be blessed with the guy who is willing to love with despite all the unwanted things i come with!

19th birthday date!

yesterday, cody took me out for the day!

it was his present to me! which i loved! first off he gave me an amazing present. one which i have always wanted but had yet to get!

a beach cruiser! the day consisted of kayaking, riding around sunset beach, & dinner :)

oh my goodness.

i'm 19 today.

i feel like just last month cody & i had a party for my 18th and his 20th birthday.

sheesh. time sure does fly!

i mean see, 14 years ago this was me {& my nerdy hair cut}

woo hoo for birthday parties! but, i am working today! haha.

"if" this & "if" that...

good morning to you.

i had a pretty weird dream last night, but that not why i am here. i was just thinking about door knobs.

cody & i always talk about homes, & things we like IF we were to ever get married.

something we have discusses, after visiting the home of some friends, we noticed their door knobs.

each one was different...& i LOVED it.

i decided that IF we get married & have a home of our own one day, i want every door to have a different knob!

as of right now, molly is going nuts! so i must attend to her and get her out of the mud!

hello from miss molly.

molly finally figured out the concept of taking a walk.

before, she would just sit there and not budge. now, she seems to be normal and get excited when she realizes we are about to go on a walk.

in fact, she likes to walk herself. what i mean is, she bits her leash and starts walking. i think it is super cute.

i think i brag about her too much, but just like what any dog owner would say about their puppy...

she is the cutest puppy ever!

he comes home tomorrow!

cody has been gone for a while.

he plays soccer for his school & generally around this time o the year the travel a little {a lot}.

i mean i have seen him here and there in between his trips, but for no more then a couple of hours. tomorrow he comes home & wont be going anywhere to drastic, just to surrounding cities from now on :)

i don't know why this year has been especially hard to deal w/ him being gone. 

he is just that wonderful :)

molly's 1st visit to the vet.

we took molly to the vet today.

more of an emergency thing. she had a red bubble looking thing on the inside of her left eye. its a "cherry eye" in their terms. but she is okay, they said to leave it until we spay her so she doesn't need to go into surgery twice.

along with that, she was given a pill for worms.

now she is worm free & ready to play :)

i just realized

that it was september.

i have been ridiculously busy, i feel like i almost lost track of time haha.

i haven't had much time to post, im sorry for that.

i'll be back soon :)
