Carmel-by-the-Sea

I stumbled across this picture & fell in love with these "fair-tale-style-cottages."

This one is located in Carmel, California, located in central california, near Santa Cruz. I have never been there, but now that i have seen this cute little home, i would loveeee to go. this particular cottage was built in 1925!

isn't it cute!?

if you know me, you know when i get excited about something i kind of go crazy for a minute or two. example, i spent about 10 minutes on google maps trying to find the exact neighborhood in Carmel where i might see one of these homes.

weird i know. anyway.

i wish we had homes like this in southern california, more preferably chino/chino hills. *sigh*

miss molly.

I am having so much fun with my new puppy :) I can't help but smile when i walk in the door after being gone all day, and i see her playing with the toys i bought her. then, i call her name and she sprints with her short little legs over to me :)

it is the most precious sight. i know i might be exaggerating, but you have to understand that i have never had a dog before, and she is my new baby. i already love her so much.

she loves her tummy rubs too. its too cute.

what is funny is, i feel like i have to have a constant eye on her. even though she has been inside, if she disappears for even a second, i get scared!

*sigh* she is a little too cute for me. i cant handle it. 

i love her anyway :)

I would like you to meet Molly, the newest addition to my family.

This blog might become more about her then me now. not that i mind or anything, she is too darn cute to not want to talk about!

she is a shitzu/corgi mix, & is as cute as can be. she nibbles on your toes & fingers, & likes to chase her own tail. she likes to stick her tongue out at you, & doesn't like to sleep alone.

im so excited to have her :)

I am a lucky girl. really, I am. I couldn't ask for a better best friend, boyfriend, mentor etc.

japanese cherry tree

This tree is absolutely beautiful.

I am pretty sure that the blossoms that grow in this tree are my new favorite flowers!

In fact, I decided that i want to paint a cherry blossom tree on my wall one day.

of course i would like to paint mine more detail. if i have to look at it everyday, i want to make it perfect!

i think i might even want to incorporate this tree into one of my tattoos. im not sure yet, but we'll see :)

in fact, i have the desire to incorporate them in anything i put on down on paper, etc. i must have doodled 10 today, at least.

i just had a vision!

This is a little silly. But who knows what might happen.

I have always had this dream of owning my own coffee shop one day. My big issue was the fact that southern california isn't where i envision owning it.

So when i thought about the fact that my lovely boyfriend hopes to try out for a team in North Carolina when he graduates, i decided being apart for months, who knows how long, doesn't really sit too well with me.

Here it is, I came up with a plan. I am much more open to moving to the East cost then he is. Maybe because I used to live there. Hardy, Virginia to be exact. It is beautiful and historical! I love it. anyway, I thought about maybe moving out there to pursue my dream coffee shop!

This week's homework assignment for one of my classes was to spend 1 hour outside drawing, using thumb to pencil measurements.

That is my kind of homework!

I maybe enjoyed myself too much for this past hour :)

First Day of School?

Oh dear.

Yesterday, I started my first day at my new school: FIDM. It loved it. Although, I wasn't there for too long {I only had 2 classes} I found it easy to talk to people. Maybe because both of my classes on fridays pretty much have the same students in them? I don't know.

Anyway, I have school again on tuesday, where I will walk into 3 more new classrooms and hopefully meet some more people!

Since each class is 2 hours & 45 minutes, We get about a 15 minute break in the middle of each class. On my 1st break, I took this picture from the lounge area balcony.

I am smack-dab in the middle of Downtown Los Angeles & I loveeeee it!

My baby brother turned 16 today!

 I can't believe it. Sad thing is, he is a lot bigger than I am! I try to stand up to him and his brattiness sometimes & he almost scares me! But I still love him!

Unfortunately, I had a busy schedule today so I didn't see him much, but we topped the day off with a delicious dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. He loved it & I surprised him with a giant cookie, a balloon, & a funny card.

I told him it was my "earthquake" card because I picked it out right before we had a earthquake this afternoon. Silly I know.

& I also saw the cutest puppy today! I wanted him so bad! One day.

My blog might be going under some construction.

I am still trying to find the perfect look for my blog! Everything just seems to bore me after looking at it too long. So nothing drastic, the name should be the same etc. But expect some minor changes.

My intentions were to post about my 4th of July, but I realized that Cody has the
(his...but... :)  I use it more) 
camera. So when I get a chance to upload some pictures, I will be sharing.

Until then...

Sometimes we don't know what to do with ourselves. haha. But we love each other's company, & that makes things a lot more fun!

I forgot how much I like this.

Today I did a few things...

First thing, slept in. Followed by giving my car a much need car wash {it was disgusting}, laundry, and my favorite, alone time!

I know that probably sounds like something and "old" person would say, but I forgot how much I really enjoy it. I always surround myself with people, and my jobs include working with others, which results in me not having much time for myself.

I changed that today. I put on my new bathing suit, some tanning oil, and I laid-out. Just like my car was in serious need of a wash, I am in serious need of some sun. Besides the laying out, I caught up on some reading {I don't read as much as I would like to}, and my favorite, some sketching. I forgot how much I missed my sketchpad and my iPod. Listening to music and drawing, together...It works so well for me.

A few months ago I started on a project and I haven't finished it. So I will be finishing that soon!

I'll make sure to share it.

On a different note, I am excited for this 4th of July weekend!
